Do you want to know more about what it’s like to study one of our online short courses in government and public policy?

Hear from one of our course graduates, Jessica Lennard, about her experience on the Economics for Public Policy short course. In this blog, she tells us how she found the course, including the learning material and the impact it has had on her career.

Why did you choose to study this online course?

I am taking some time out from my career whilst on maternity leave to do academic study. I chose to study online so I can work from home whilst looking after my baby.

What was your favourite module, and why?

Monopolies. My work in corporate affairs brings me into daily contact with economists. My career experience (past and present) made this module highly relevant, particularly in relation to my work in technology competition policy.

What impact has this course had on your career?

The course has deepened my understanding and ability to deploy core economic concepts in the context of my work.

Would you recommend studying an online course with Oxford?

It was certainly worth it for me. The level and quality of supervision and engagement distinguished this course from others I have taken.
